Q: What makes a Preppygram Singing Telegram different from other singing telegrams?
A: A Preppygram Singing Telegram is a personalized, custom-written song, which we write up based on information you give us about the recipient. Each song we write is unique; no two telegrams are alike. Other companies perform a standard generic song. Our wide array of costume choices further enhance the personalized experience.

Q: Are there any restrictions on where a Preppygram can be performed?
A: All of our telegrams are family-style entertainment and as a result, can be performed anywhere (bowling alleys, restaurants, offices, schools, etc.) If you are not going to be where the singing telegram is delivered, it is recommended you have a contact person on-site who is aware of what is going on and can “grease the skids” for the messenger. Given that we cover the New York Metro area, some buildings may have a delivery restriction. It is always best you check with security first, before you place your order. For your own protection, you are always encouraged to call and ensure deliverability first.

Q: How much notice is needed to order a Preppygram Singing Telegram?
A: While the nature of this business is “last minute” and while we can usually accommodate a same-day request, we appreciate at least two day’s notice. That will generally ensure you are able to get the costume of choice and the time of delivery. As we get closer to the weekend, we tend to book up, and those last-minute orders can be difficult to fill, unless we have a cancelation.

Q: Are you open on Holidays?
A: The office would be closed, but we deliver 365 days a year. We also will deliver at any time during the day. Some bartenders in NYC have gotten deliveries at 3:00 AM.

Q: Besides the Preppygram Singing Telegram, are there any add-ons?
A: Certainly! For an additional charge, you can get balloons, flowers, Godiva chocolates, Champagne, Dunkin Donuts, stuffed animals, etc. Let your imagination run wild.

Q: What is your cancelation policy?
A: We ask for 48 hours notice for a cancelation. There is no charge to cancel a singing telegram when given at least 48 hours notice. Any order placed within 48 hours of the event cannot be canceled. During the winter months, either party may cancel a delivery at the lastminute based on snowy, inclement weather without being charged. Cancelations must be done during business hours and over the telephone.

Q: What method of payment do you take?
A: Aside from COD’s, Preppygrams is set up to take Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We can also process your order via PayPal. We do not accept personal checks.

Q: What guarantee do I have that your messenger will show up?
A: All of our messengers are responsible, talented, professional performers and our reputation for being in business for 30 years is a testament to our professionalism. If we do not show up within the one hour window/time slot you give us, you are not charged for the service. In the event that there is a delay or a situation beyond our control, both the office and the messenger has your contact number and someone will call you.

Q: My boss fired me two years ago and I just found out he was let go. Can I send him a singing telegram celebrating that fact?
A: In short, NO! All of our singing telegrams are for happy occasions and aside from valuing the noses on my messengers’ faces, I don’t want to touch your karma with a ten-foot pole!
